Yeah this is a good first cheap build! Not alot of power but better than store bought. You may want to look at atleast a 2 gb graphics card or getting 2 and that are sli rated or even crossfire. (bridging graphics cards) Either way this is a good build but think about the 2 Gb graphics

I'm not sure exactly how cross firing works, but could I buy a 1 GB graphics card now and then add another 1Gb later?

so you you advise that I don't crossfire and just go for a 2 GB graphics card instead?

For me personally I would not go AMD. As much as I love AMD you would get much better performance with something like an Intel 2500k or 2550k (Not much difference) as for the GPU I really recommend an 7870 Overclockable edition which is much more than you need for games nowadays'. I would try and go for a 1 8gb piece than a 2 x 4gb setup for the RAM just to "future proof" it so you can add 8gb's at a time.

At first I was thinking that I should go with an intel i3 and then I had someone tell me to go for the fx 6300. So honestly I dont know which one to go with. I know that intel is known to have the best processor but you definitely get more value from AMD.

Ya get one higher end GPU cos the price/performance we getting these days are far better in previous years :D
