Please provide some spec for a video editing pc within the $3000 budget. Also, I am building this PC in Summer times so the time frame is June-September in the time I'm thinking to build. I prefer Intel based CPU and if anyone knows something about Ivy Bridge-E please provide! Thank you!

i7 3770k, samsung 840 pro 512gb SSD, 32 gb corsair veangeance RAM, ATX case and an ATX 1155 mobo, a WD 3 TB HDD, and an AMD firepro if you REALLY want GPU acceleration (but you'll be fine with a 7970 or 7950)

this won't cost you more than 2500 USD (at the most) unless you get a firepro.

There is ZERO reason to purchase a 3970X when the 3930K can be clocked to match or beat the 3970X's advertised speeds. It's a ridiculous and stupid waste of $500. Try this:

Hi, you don't need two 7970 for video editing, specially the ghz edition which has a poor value.
Nvidia with Cuda is usually better and a 660/ 660 ti single card will do the trick.
As for the OP, no point in recommending anything now, at the time that you'll buy the parts, there will be the new intel cpu released either the haswell(i7) or the ivy bridge-E and new motherboards(haswell lga 1150, some new lga 2011 mobos might come too), and the price of the rest of the parts will vary a lot by then, some parts might be out of stock, discontinued, and other new stuff(cases, coolers, ssds, psu, etc) might be available by then.
So make a new thread when you'll buy the parts ;)

If your not going to be doing any gaming on it than you should get a workstation graphics card, they have better support when it comes to GPU acceleration with adobe products heres a quick list

CPU: 3930k $539
Motherboard: Asus P8X79 WS $379
Memory: 32GB quad channel memory corsair vengeance $218
GPU: Nvidia quadro 4000 $709
PSU: AX 1200 $264
HDDS: 4 x wd blue in raid 0 array 4tb $288
SSD: 120 gb corsair neutron gtx $219
Case: switch 810 $179
Cooler: corsair h110 $129

Total: $2924

That would be a good video editing setup, if you wanted to game on it too you could just substitute the video card for your gaming card of choice. Ivy bridge-e isn't coming until Q4 but the c602 platform would be a better choice for a pure workstation than Ivy-e.
