Ok, so I have been running my i3-3225 just to surf and play minecraft. But lately I have been introduced to LoL and really want to purchase a Graphics Card for better frame rates. Any ideas as far as best bang for the buck? I'm looking for under $500. I'd upgrade to i5, but really don't have the budget to purchase a new mobo and etc. I don't mind buying a GPU and PSU though. So ideas, comments, would all be appreciated.

CPU: i3-3225 3.3ghz
MOBO: asrock h77m
RAM: 8GB GSkill 1600
HDD: 500GB WD Black
PSU: Corsair 430W

I would think a 7850 or 7870 would hit the sweet spot for you. Would require a stronger PSU, but the cost of the 7850/70 and PSU would be less than a 7950 while being closer to the power you need and the components you have.

Yeah, I was aware I was able to run the i5. But if I was to go the i5 route, I'd go with the K series... I was eyeing out the 7770, but didn't know if my i3 would pair good with the 7870. I may go 7870, but do you think 750w would be too much? I am running an ivy series...

750w is more than you will need for an i3 and a 7870. ~550w should be sufficient

However, 750 does leave you some wiggle room if down the road you decide to go with an i5 k series (and overclock) and/or snag another 7870 and crossfire.
