gtx 660ti vs ati radeon 7870

Hello to everyone.
Could i get some advice as to gtx 660ti or 7870? Which is a better card for gaming at high res with high details

7870 is a better card then the 660ti. The 7870 also overclocks very well.

In most cases the 7870 outperforms the 660ti.

If they are the same price I would go with the 660ti personally but if the 7870 is cheaper. Look at the benchmarks.

Its like a 1fps diff lol. go with the cheaper Card you really wont notice the difference.

In one benchmark. I have a evga gtx 660ti and a 7870 I would agree the 660ti is a bit faster right now but give ati a chance to catch there drivers up here.

Look at it this way the cheapest 660ti is $259

The cheapest 7870 is $210

Do some simple math. Im done here.

Sorry but from the 7870 upwards AMD totally beats Nvidia at every price point simply because the Tahiti chip overclocks so well.

If you're on a budget the 7870 LE/XT will give you fantastic performance for the money.

If you want something better, the 7950 matches the 660 Ti but costs less.

And then if you overclock the 7950 it easily becomes a 7970 Ghz which competes with the 680...

edit: Also, if you are talking high resolutions the AMD cards scale better. And any AMD 7800/7900 series card will get you two games for free... Have fun
