Is Tom's Hardware (or anyone else) going to review the Athlon II X2 280 (3.6Ghz)? It is available to buy for about £50, which seems like a pretty good deal for single and dual threaded applications, given the high stock clock and IPC latency.

The review on that chip is likely buried under 4-5 years of reviews...that tech is pre-phenom. It's not a bad processor, it's just dated.

It is still an Athlon II X2. It isn't going to be much faster than a 270.

Well, in that case, it's going to be similar in performance to the 270...just a wee bit faster.
