Can you upgrade a Compaq Presario CQ-57 222WM

The processor now is an AMD C-50 processor and I want to upgrade it with this: ( http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemNumber=N82E16819113283 ) Is it possible?

Ok, you have a laptop and want to upgrade your CPU? You technically could, from that C50 to something like maybe a C60 or C70...however, if you're not proficient at it, opening up a laptop is alot like opening pandora's box. If I were you, I would find a place that will repair/upgrade laptops for you and tell them what you're wanting to do. If you open your laptop up and things go wrong, it's a mess to try to put it back together.

Where as, in a desktop, it's easier to do, you have FAR more space to work with, and you're not trying to cram the entire thing back into a super slim space.

You could upgrade to a C60 or C70 CPU in your laptop, though, I would have a qualified laptop repair shop work on it. There are a lot of variables that can go wrong with that, and I am not going to recommend you open yourself to the liability and danger associated with all the internal components as you could damage your laptop, or even possibly electrocute yourself.
