Just starting to get into PC gaming after talking to a friend who has built a few computers. I have been reading up on parts and I have messed around with PC Part Picker but I honestly don't have a lot of experience when it comes to a PC build so I'd rather have some input from other people who know what they are talking about.

Approximate Purchase Date: About a month

Budget Range: $1,000 - $1,500 (not including a monitor, mouse, keyboard, OS, etc.)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: This will be a gaming pc first and foremost. I'll also be using it for Web Browsing but I have an older laptop as well for that. Watching Movies/TV Shows is also something I'd like to do but I usually watch those type of things either on my tv when I'm at home or on my tablet when I'm traveling.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes - But it isn't included in my budget range. If you could suggest one that would be great but it isn't extremely important. Price limit for this would probably be $200.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, probably Windows 8 as long as the games I want to play are compatible.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon (Prime Eligible would be great) or Newegg. Any site that ships to US is fine as long as the shipping costs aren't crazy.

Location: USA - Philadelphia, PA. Would be willing to purchase some items in-store if deals are good enough and the places are close by. For example, I know there is a MicroCenter near where I work.

Parts Preferences: No preference, this is my first build so I have to defer to everyone here.

Overclocking: Possibly, but it won't be anything extreme if I do it. I just don't trust myself unless I have my friend help me with it.

SLI or Crossfire: Possibly, once again I'll have to defer to you guys on this.

Your Monitor Resolution: No preference, just looking for something around $200 at most.

Games I'm Looking to Play: Bioshock Infinite, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online, Battlefield 4, GTA V (if it comes to PC), Antichamber, Minecraft, The Witness.

Thanks in advance for your responses. Can't wait to get this build started.
