Hi,
I'm almost done saving up for this new build and wold like advice to see if its good for gaming. I'm 100% sure that i want parts such as the 8350, so please don't suggest the 3570k. Please tell me if I can improve any other parts. I'm hoping to overclock Cpu to 4.8 and overclock Gpu a little maybe. My budget is 1500 strictly and it's including a monitor and keyboard.

Thanks in advance :D

Are you planning to crossfire later?

the intel is just a better CPU for gaming. the games that make proper use of fx are the few newer games. if you are going to be stubborn about it and stick with fx, get this

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ohq7

-8320 is a slower version of the 8350. overclocking results generally ends up the same
-way better CPU cooler for the same price. h80 doesnt compare not to mention you are basically buying fisher price watercooling
-much better motherboard
-stick with a 2x8gb kit configuration rather than 4x4
-better and faster hard drive
-you need a SSD
-better 7970 model
-better case in terms of silence, construction, and price
-fx is still a power hog, and if you are expanding to a dual GPU system, you definitely need 850w
-much better monitor
-quality built keyboard for less

Thanks guys, I have a revised version. But i think I will need the 16 GB for video editing and stuff. I don't really care about the ssd as much, I don't mind boot times. And i hope to CF later on. Does the monitor Troll reccommended have a vesa mount? At sometime I want to get a monitor stand. Here's a revised version

-8320 is just as fast overclocked
-why bother with a cheap liquid cooler like that. go legit or go back to a heatsink. the only alternative so far is the swiftech h220 but thats not in stock just yet
-no idea why you would go with such a cheap board. asrock likes to cheap out on spots that you cant see like the vrm assembly
-use 2x8 gb sticks
-still has no ssd. more important than a video card in terms of if you want to do anything to upgrade a computer
-sapphire has a better card
-the R4 is a much better case
-you need 850w. 750 aint gonna cut it with a power hog
-yes it does have a vesa mount i believe. but to be honest, the monitor stand is overly sturdy on the p series. the vs series not so much
-hope that thing doesnt die on you. razer keyboards never feel very sturdy.

Here's yet another new version. I feel that the H100i can acieve my 4.8 ghz OC. Speed that the SSD gives is not a priority of mine. I like the phantom look better. And finally i have upgraded the PSU. :D I like the asrock color as it goes with some of the other colors of my components and Tom's just posted an article which shows its good performance. Also I'm fine with the razer keyboard because i plan on getting another one later on. Hope this fixes a few things.

I've also heard that SSD's mainly speed up load time and such. If that's true it's not a very big priority as i can finish homework in that time. Also the ram is pretty cheap for 16 GB so i don't mind 4x4? Is there an advantage to having 2x8? As far as 16GB of ram goes I think I'm good for a couple of years.

I don't see any "revision" from the first revised build.

sure. if you want to listen to a jet engine, why not?

if you dont have a SSD in this level of a computer, you are doing it wrong. it makes a day and night difference in computing.i can gurantee you end up having 10 more mins of time over a day of homework just because you dont have to wait for things to load. they just snap on

extreme9 is overkill. no reason to get it over the m599x evo.

fair enough if you like the look.

you downgraded your psu. thermaltake power supplies are crap compared to the xfx unit

nope. the whole point of investing in a mech keyboard is so that it lasts. or else why would anyone buy one? never buy a mech keyboard that you plan to throw out. its dumb.
