When can we expect HDD quality to return to normal?

As many have noticed, HDD quality has been quite down for awhile (about one-third of HDD reviews are "DoA! [Insert Brand Name] sucks! I'm never buying their awful product again!" So can anyone guesstimate how long it'll be before the dud stock is depleted and we can buy HDDs again with much less hassle/concerns?

That would be such a horrible thing. HDDs also don't lose all my data out of the blue :/ I like that. A lot.

Well when they're produced with decent quality they work Like my current one used to, but now it's getting old and is slowly telling me it's dying. SSDs provide no warning and the data is not recoverable in any circumstance. That scares me, quite frankly.
