PS3 no picture when switched on....

I have a PS3 and when I turn it on there is sound., but no picture! The tv normally changes to 1080 but it doesn't do this and remains at 545 or something? Any ideas what this is please?

When the power is off. Hold down the power button until you hear 2 beeps and that should reset the video output on the ps3. Should fix your problem.
