Hi everyone, thanks in advance for the advice.

I'm an independent video editor and avid gamer. I've come across a little extra cash and I'm ready to upgrade my poor old Radeon 4890. She's been a real workhorse over the years, but she's starting to show her age. My primary thought is hardware boosting adobe premiere's mercury playback which is my biggest reason for not getting another Radeon.

My system specs as it stands now are:

Mobo: MICROSTAR, Eclipse SLI, LGA1366, Intel® X58, 6400
CPU: i7-920 2.66GHz OC'd to about 2.8
Mem: 12gb
GPU: SAPPHIRE, Vapor-X Radeon HD 4890 870MHz, 1GB GDDR5
PSU: CORSAIR, 750w CMPSU-750HX HX Series, ATX12V EPS12V

I'm stressing my brain out on if I should get a 660ti with 3gb, a 670 with 2gb, or an older 570 since I've read that the fermi based cards process faster. My work is my priority, but I'm also eagerly awaiting Star Citizen, and want to be able to enjoy it. If i got a 500 series I'd most likely end up running two in SLI later down the road for gaming.

Any suggestions or advise from experience would be a huge stress load off my mind.

hey rich, the gtx 670 is the best one even if its got only 2gb ,the extra 1gb in the gtx 660ti is useless,a gtx 670 can run newer games and smoother at high resolutions.so direct answer=gtx 670.moreover even a gtx 670 with 1gb beats gtx 660ti with 4gb
