what about my old graphic card ( 9500 GT updated to the last version from nvidia ) can it run battlefield 3 on low and change the res to 800x600 ?
April 6, 2013 10:13:25 AM

I have a 7770 and a phenom 2 x4 and in bf3 Mp 64 player I get 50 - 70fps.

I use a mixed bag of settings but it is mostly high - medium. No AA.

my budget only allows hd 7770 OC....+ i am gonna upgrade my ram , PSU , and the windows.

and i won't pay 200$ on a graphic card... (i have a life you know)

i think i will be good with hd 7770 OC.. i mean i had fun with my old card (9500 GT) and i just wanted a new card to play battlefield 3 in ultra and battlefield 4 when it comes out
April 7, 2013 10:01:33 AM

i guess hd 7770 OC will be good for 3 or 4 years from now ( i don't mind play on low )

Look towards a 650Ti before you buy anything. It'll cost about $30 extra but it's worth at least thinking about.

My card maxes all my games. The 650Ti takes less power than the 7770,

So.... should i get GTX 650 ti or Gigabyte hd 7770 OC?
and what resolution do you have ? ( my screen resolution : 1366x768 )

and can hd 7770 OC run battlefield 3 in ultra ( in multiplayer ) and get high fps ?

7770 won't run bf3 ultra on multiplayer, the 650Ti won't either. I would spend the extra money on the 650 Ti, but it's up to you.
Here's the benchmarks again: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/536?vs=680
I play at 1680x1050 by the way.

i saw the benchmarks and it said that hd 7770 will run BF3 ultra with 34.2 FPS ( in 1920x1200 )
that means i will get like 45 or 50 fps with (1366x768)
and of course GTX 650 ti will get higher

( i don't deny that i will get some lags when a big explosion happen )

BF3 takes much much much, less power when your playing single player. I don't own the game, but I've seen this while playing it on my friends machine. It takes like a 660ti or greater to max out multiplayer I think.

so.... will hd 7770 OC run battlefield 3 at least on high with high fps ( in multiplayer ) ?

Also i heard from some people who own hd 7770 and they said they can play multiplayer in ultra with low resolution and get 55 fps
April 8, 2013 2:06:24 PM

On a low resolution, you can bump the settings up quite a bit, all the way to high, maybe. I'd think it'd do high with some lower settings thrown in though.
April 8, 2013 10:08:14 PM

if i am gonna make the setting high or ultra i will off those things (AA- MSAA-HBAO)

i think i will get like 45 or 50 fps in ultra (1366x768)

April 8, 2013 11:08:06 PM

@mo7amed3211 you are worrying to much imo,get hd 7770 you will get guarntee 45-50fps or may me more at ultra(aa to off) easily.

April 9, 2013 2:39:42 AM

can u tell me wats your budget?
April 9, 2013 9:03:22 AM

i would have bought GTX 650 ti but its over my budget
i still have to buy 2x4gb rams + a 650w PSU for hd 7770
( this is the only Cooler master PSU i have found that had 80+ certified and i don't trust my current 400w PSU but it still confusing cuz it handle 9500 gt which is using 80watts while GTX 650 ti is using 110 watt...i mean its just 30watt more...but i can't take risks

P.S. ( this is the only name i found on the PSU : Digital )
April 9, 2013 1:36:36 PM

You don't need 650w for a 7770w no way, I would say yea buy a new PSU though, if your going Cooler Master be careful, they have some really bad units, most of their good ones are rated 80+ bronze or higher, so I'm thinking that CM one you found is bad. These are excellent units, they are very cheap, very power efficent and will hold you over until you want to upgrade to a higher end gpu.

No, I'm telling you that 80+ silver, bronze, gold, is good. The Antec isn't rated because of the way they build it. But otherwise it would be silver. That 450w will be more than enough for now, if you want to buy a big powerful unit right away people can help you with that too.

Have you looked at the HD 7790?
April 9, 2013 10:05:21 PM

Can't find hd 7790.....and all i can find is from 650w to 1000w who have 80+
April 9, 2013 10:09:38 PM

ok my last question: currently i have 9500 GT updated to the last version from nVidia ... do you think i will be able to run battlefield 3 all in low and maybe turn my res to 800x600 ?
(i know there will be lags but i can't just leave the game like this i wanted to buy hd 7770 especially for this games)
April 10, 2013 11:48:33 AM

:p  Sorry, I was think of back when a 7770 GHz was $130. For $140 you can get a 1 GB 7790... I say get a hd 7750, cheap and (fairly) fast.

May 5, 2013 10:45:12 AM

EVGA 01G-P4-3655-KR GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST 1GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card

buy this one if its within ur budget... its faster than gtx 650 ti,hd 7770 and even hd 7790.
and with that u can easily max bf3 :)
