Hi!

This motherboard doesn't support the SLI,only AMD® Quad-GPU CrossFireX™ technology. If you want SLI you'll need to buy mobo that has AMD 990X/990FX chipset.

Just look the specs here: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/#specificat...

The 16x-4x CF doesn't give enough performance because it's bandwidth (the 4x slot) isn't enough for a video card like as GTX 650Ti Boost.

the 2nd card (4x) loses 3-7% of the performance

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2200539

and one of the cards is gtx 570 which is alot faster than 650 ti

also 6970 CF tested with 16x/4x speeds and the loss is 7%, which in real world is around 5 fps
