Genuine GPU check

I just bought a GPU ( Powercolor HD 6770) was advised by the Retailer coz Saphire Hd 6670 was not available. He said the performace is better and just a bit costly.
I just want to know, if he said correct.
However the problem is: when I check the card in CpuZ, it detacts as 6700 instead of 6770.
None of my Game detect it as 6770, but as 6700. Is it a hardware fault or something else. How to check a (Genuine) GPU card.
Please help.....
My Pc configuration:

AMD FX 8350
Asus 970
Corssaire V 4GB
WD 1TB
Powercolor HD 6770 GPU
550 PSU

Please give me your good or bad feedback on my configuration and help me sort out my GPU issue.....

Most programs do not display the model number, but instead just display the series number, 6700 in your case and 7900 in mine. If there is something wrong with your card, it isn't that. Relax.
