Compaq presario cq62

My compaq laptop won't turn on. There are no lights or sounds of the fan coming on when I press the on button.
I have tried unplugging it and taking out the battery and pressing the on button for a minute before plugging it all back in but this has had no effect.
It was working last night a d was fully charged so I dont know what is wrong. Any suggestions would be welcome!

When you plug in the charger, does the charging light do anything? Btw, this post should be in the laptop forum.
