More about build advice
  1. You might want to pick a higher wattage for your Power Supply. Try 550 to 600 at least.
    Otherwise it looks good!
  2. Was the MSI 660ti a good CPU to pick for the buck?

Its a GPU, and yeah, its good. You won't have any problems with GPU.
  4. Hmmm IMHO 7870XT is much more worthy than the GTX 660Ti
  5. Agree with the PSU suggestion Tiny gave.

If you want to overclock your overclock capable rig, I recommend you get an aftermarket CPU cooler like the 212 EVO.

I have a Vertex 4 128GB myself and love the thing, but alas technology marches on and there are better (and cheaper) drives available.

The equivalent AMD card to the 660ti is the HD7950, which offers roughly the same performance but comes bundled with two games, Bioshock Infinite and Crysis 3. Might want to consider going AMD for your GPU, especially in the wake of the 12.11 drivers and the Never Settle deals.
