Somebody please help me upgrade my pc!

Hello everyone, I built my pc almost 3 years ago and ever since I have started working I haven't touched it for a few months now. I am pretty sure there are some components in my pc that needs to be upgraded so it can handle DX11 games. Price range < $1000
Any suggestions and recommendations will be so helpful.

Well in order to suggest an appropriate upgrade I need to know what you use your system for, or what you would like to use it for.

Preferably gaming since I do most of my business work on my macbook.

Ok well you have a fairly capable CPU already. I would suggest adding another 4GB of ram and a new graphics card seeing as your current card is a couple generations behind. A 7850 or GTX 650Ti Boost edition would serve you just fine with any game at good settings.
