I am having a very hard time on deciding on which HD 7870 to get.

My main two choices are

HIS IceQ H787Q2G2M Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit

or

PowerColor HD 7870 MYST Tahiti LE

Between these two I can get them for both around the same price basically so it all comes down to what is more worth it?

I play mostly at 1680x1050 possibly upgrade to 1920x1080.

Just wanna be able to max out most games with no issues or at least very high settings.

Alot of people recommend Tahiti LE but I've read many reviews saying it gets very hot and is noisy. Is this true???

How do these two compare and which is the better option?

Thanks!!!

either card will do what you want. as for the heating issue, most people complain because they have horrible cable management and no actual airflow, id go with the powercolor. But for the price point how much is it? newegg has a sale on the asus 2g 7870 with a promo code and it think it turns out to be 240 dollars with a additional 20 dollars mail in rebate of 20 dollars making it roughly 220 dollars.

is the link to it, better cooling then the other 2 choices too.

the powercolor board is better.

the HIS 7870 is a run of the mill pitcairn board.Thats the stuff you will fin on other 7870s,7850s,etc.

the powercolor 7870 XT is a Tahiti chip(7950,7970). More specifically its the tahiti LE. which means it has some shaders and ROPs disabled. It blows the HIS GPU out of the water @ the same price. Some times it even bests the 7950.
