Trying to retrieve data from Dell inspiron and the drive is called Recovery F. States I have to format. Afraid I will lose all data. Initially my Dell laptop would not start up, so I removed the hard drive from laptop and was using the C2G, cables to go, connected to another computer so that I could transfer just the data to a local drive. Hoping I could see the info and then copy to usb. After getting my laptop working again I could then transfer the files and folders from USB back to laptop. I used the instructional videos from product review to guide me. Unfortunately, the data did not show up listed like I expected, only Recovery F. Any advice would be appreciated.

When you have drive connected to another computer go into Disk Management and look for the drive. Once there, see if a partition is marked as RAW or something else. I'm hoping it is a healthy partition and not marked as RAW. Post the results and I'll see if there is anything I can do to help.
