WHY did it drop??

Okay, I have an SSD, a samsug 840 120 GB edition, and its initial WEI rating was a nice cosy 8.2, now it has dropped to a weird 7.6 and its kinda freaking me out a lot... I know WEI ratings aren't usually that great a benchmark, but still seeing the rating fall like that is very scare, I bought it on around 25 march and started using it about a week or so back.. please reply thanks.. and sorry if I started a new thread on a previously discussed topic.. If I have, would someone please give me a link for that? thanks..

The thing is, SSD's don't always perform at blazing fast speeds. EVERY SSD has to enter a state called steady state, because the memory chips are burdened by the the data they hold and access. This is normal and usually starts between 1 month and 6 months, so don't be surprised. If you format the SSD, you may be able to get it faster again, but be sure to back-up your data.
