Does the brand matter when choosing memory?

I noticed that some brands of memory cost more then the others. If the brand really matters, explain why and list some good brands. Thanks a lot.

There are currently far too many ram brands to go into bad brands but I can share that I have had good results using Corsair, Crucial, Gskill, Patriot, and Kingston brands, I have also read/heard good things about Samsung, and Geil brands - anymore, I simply find a fast set in the motherboard's QVL that has a life-time warranty (good brands will have that)

A lot of people seem to like Corsair Vengeance. It's good RAM for an average price.
