Okay I am seriously thinking about selling my machine. It was built in 2009 and then updated again in 2010 so its fairly old and I am considering ebaying the thing.

Here are the Specs:

Motherboard:Asus P7P55D
Processor:Core i5 750
PSU:Xigmatech 800w PSU
Case: Antec 902 Case
Cooler:Noctua U12P CPU Cooler
Graphics:Ati 6850 1GB DDR5
:ZOTAC nVidia GeForce GT 240 512 MB DDR5
HardDrive:500mb Western Digital (not sure what speed)
Optical Drive: Samsung DVD Reader
OS:Windows 7

I would like to keep my OS so I was thinking of removing that hard drive and then I don't need to play around with data and backing stuff up, however I know this impacts on the selling price.

I'd say input the parts into PC Part Picker but I'm guessing that it won't have current pricing data. But to calculate depreciation you take what you originally paid for the PC, subtract the salvage value (if there is one) and divide it by how many years you've owned it, and then subtract that number from the total purchase. That should give you a rough idea.
