Hi everyone, this is the forum that I always get to when googling something about computers, and I decided to join the community, at the same time, I'd love to get some advice from the all knowing clan of tom's hardware.
I'm about to buy a new PC, I just have a great budget cause of some legal issues with a company here in Chile, I have enough to get a super gaming machine, the thing is, I don't know what to get. Since I'm here in South America, I was thinking on this set by Amazon, but I don't know if this pieces fit each other... I'd love to get assistance!!
Pieces:
Processor: Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition i7-3970X 3.5GHz 5.0GT/s 15MB LGA2011
VGA: ASUS GeForce GTX690 4096MB GDDR5
MB: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme LGA 2011 Intel X79
RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast 64 GB Kit (8x8 GB) 2133MHz DDR3 PC3-17000
Power: Antec High Current Pro HCP-1200 1200 Watt SLI 80 PLUS GOLD
Hard Drive: WD Black Desktop 2TB SATA 6.0 GB/s 7200 RPM 3.5-Inch
Case: SilverStone TJ10B-WNV TJ10 NVIDIA Edition Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Thanks!

Your RAM wont fit in that motherboard. It only has 4 slots. Your PSU is serious overkill, almost double what you need. You should get an SSD as your boot drive.

I'm confussed, I have different information about the MB, I was told that it has 8 slots, can you confirm please, also, what is that getting a SSD as my boot drive? would love an explanation, thanks!

Yeah, sorry about that, but yes it does have 8 RAM slots.

But still, your PSU is seriously over kill. Unless you plan on adding another graphics card and a bunch more stuff, that computer needs no more than a good 800w.

You would also get more performance by getting an SSD drive as your boot drive.
