PLEASE RESPON ASAP new cpu hlp pls installing at the moment

i have a sabertooth 990fx with pheonom IIx6 i purchased a fx8350 and swaped it and i got no response from pc...just ligts. i swaped the pheonom back in and it booted up saying i have a new cpu... i swaped the 8350 back in and got nothing but lights...
im i doing somthing wrong or in the cpu dead

Have you updated the bios to support the 8350, maybe the mobo already does, but idk this is the first thing i would check.

EDIT: check bios version, it needs to be 1604 or newer

is it the first gen sabertooth no R2? or gen3 on it?

If so u must do a bios flash to be able use piledriver with a board that was made with for bulldozer bios. The sabertooth has a updater for the bios in the asus AI suite.

Shouldnt be hard to just let it update lol just a warning
