Looking for an apt gpu for my configuration.

I have an i7 870 2.9ghz , 8gb ram system. my gpu was an ati hd5770 which stopped working recently. I am planning on buying a new one but I am low on budget. I was wondering whether a 6670 would bottleneck my cpu? If it would, what are better gpu options ?

Well to be honest I doubt that the 6670 would bottleneck your cpu. Unless your set on that card in particular which I doubt is a bad card I would recommend maybe something in the 7870 range or maybe 660 area. I still doubt that any video card would be a bottlenecked by that cpu and if it was you could most likely overclock that chip up aways to regain some ground. I am still running an i7 920 here and haven't found much in the way that any of the newer generations have gained overly much on it.
