Hi all,

This is a build that is meant primarily for gaming, i will be doing some Solid works 3D projects but i think this is more than enough for that. I would like some opinions overall but especially about the PSU and the memory. Is the PSU enough for crossfire?

Case: CORSAIR CARBIDE 200R

Processor: AMD FX-8350

Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

Graphic's card: SAPPHIRE 2GB HD7850

Memory: MUSHKIN 8GB 1866-919 RED RIDGEBACK

PSU: CORSAIR 650TXV2 650W

The build its priced at 766 Euros = 1,004.34 USD

So what would be a good graphic card for this build and future crossfire. (not exceeding the 200 $ to much) Thanks for the reply :)

Yeah because if you look at the benchmarks with 2x7770Ghz Ed. you get about the performance of a 7950... terrible scaling I know right? Once again being misinformed, the card you have is fine as well as the fact that you can CFx it with a 7870 instead of a 7850 if you plan on it, you really do not need much more, and the 7850 should be plenty powerful as well as the fact that those cards overclock like champs. But yeah everything else is good to go.

Do you have a link to those benchmarks? I'd like to see that

Not trying to be a smart ass just genuinely interested.

Looks good...HD 7850 is a good mid-range choice, if you pick up a HD 7870 later, try to pick up a 7870XT or 7870LE (tahiti based) They are quite a bit more card for the money than the standard fare HD 7870

A 7870 Tahiti XT/LE can't crossfire with a normal 7870 only 7900s

The computer isn't only for gaming. How about moving to a 7870 Le from club 3D? Its 50$ more but its a recent card and if i need i can crossfire with 79xx. Money is a problem :) ill be waiting a bit more if i choose to go with the club 3D 7870 LE. Can't find much reviews about it tho.

I'm going with 7870 XT it has a good price/performance. I like this board, i don't feel like going for 970 chip ^^ don't really know the difference between the 990 and the 970 but when i'm buying i like to buy the latest :) feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
