I just built my first system. I plugged in my monitor and put my mouse and keyboard in the rear USB's and hit the power button. The fans came up immediately but I didn't get anything from the monitor.
Moving the mouse doesn't seem to wake the monitor either. The laser on the bottom of the mouse isn't coming on. The videocard fans aren't moving but the card is heating up.
The optical drive light is not on and the drive will not open. I have also tried adjusting cables and plugs to see if there was something loose, but no luck.
Is there something I'm missing here?
