from what i was watching online the start menu button is gone they only have a menu to the right i don't like that if i have my mouse cursor over to the right the menu would appear everytime and i don't like the new windows 8 menu which is why i wanted to know is it possible to downgrade from windows 8 to windows 7

I don't like Windows 8 either. You must reinstall Windows to achieve your goal.

You can downgrade given that you have a valid Windows 7 key.
