Upgrade Mobo and CPU Advice

Im Looking for advice on the best Motherboard and CPU for my requirements...


CPU: 2.8Ghz or More Amd/ Intel
RAM: Space For Upto 16GB
Sata and Ide conections
5.1 Audio Outputs
HD Output if possible
Micro ATX form
Windows 7 compatible

I'm looking to spend less than £150....but the cost wasn't the issue as I could just get a board that is a lot more powerful than my requirements and spend more.

You need the CPU and motherboard?

Yeah, it's going to be a new build.... I'm just sorting out what board and CPU I want first then work around that

If you give us the whole budget for the entire system it will be much easier to determine the correct components.

Okay, I have HDD already, and have found a case I like... So for the remainder £170

You won't be building a computer for that much money. At least not one that will play any game at all. What do you want to be able to do with this computer?

Well I've found a AMD processor for 80 which is 3.6ghz and a board for 50 so yeah I'm almost there.

It isn't going to for playing games on, more of a media server and a bit of downloading
