125w processors on 95w tdp motherboard?

Can i Use phenom ii x6 1055t 125w on my N68C-GS FX motherboards ?

it is still running on my motherboard, does it give any bad effect to my motherboard?

If its running OK keep an eye on the MB temps, my brother ran an unlocked Athlon x3 with 4 cores and L3 cache on a similar board and the board temps are high so he set it to a 3 core Phenom instead. I imagine running with 4 would shorten the boards life but I have no idea how much.

Just be careful with it, people have blown up boards doing stress testing with high wattage CPU's on 95 watt boards.

Won't shizz hit the fan if the processor goes to draw more than 95W?

Most likely burned VRM's would be the end result. It is required wattage not the Cooling that will cause damage, the higher tdp the higher a wattage the CPU needs.

That is an extremely bad use of components, you're not doing the CPU justice, and the board is likely straining to even keep up...that P2 X4 should be running close to 3 GHz

That is an extremely bad use of components, you're not doing the CPU justice, and the board is likely straining to even keep up...that P2 X4 should be running close to 3 GHz

I know, thats why im getting a new board to support the CPU. I got the pc from someone with that put the CPU in it. the pc is a HP a6700Z.
