Problem of VGA or not ?

Hi , i have a ATI x1950 Pro Radeon with Dual-DVI (i dont use the PC to play games) , and recently i buy a monitor , the W2452S-PF , so i connect it with a adaptador of VGA-DVI , like my other monitor , the SB23B350 that i connect for the same way . Well , the W2452S-PF dont look perfectly , i mean , the letters seem blurry .

When i go to screen resolution in Windows 7 , the W2452S-PF appears like monitor 1 , and the refresh rate is 60hz , all fine . But the SB23B350 apperas like " Show device in VGA " , and the refresh rate is 29 o 30 interlaced . So i download the PowerStrip and configure the SB23B350 with 1920*1080 and 60hz , and then apperas black borders , so with the power strip i adjust well but the refresh rate down to 55hz .

So the problem is of the ATI x1950 because is a older VGA ? When i switch the ports of monitors , i mean , put the SB23B350 in port 1 of VGA , Windows 7 detect fine and the refresh is fine , but the monitor in port 2 , the W2452S-PF appears wrong and i cant select 1920*1200 . So i dont know that the problem is the VGA or the W2452S isnt a good monitor and i thinkt that the letters are blurry but the monitor look like that . Thank

you mentioned that you changed settings on your original monitor. why would you do that? reset the settings on your original monitor back to defaults or where you had them originally. i take it this is 1920x1080.

what resolution is your new monitor? 1920x1080 or 1920x1200? you should run this monitor in the default (native) resolution.

you say you have both hooked up via vga to dvi cable. does swapping cables fix any issues? if yes it is most likely a bad cable.

if swapping cables doesnt work try swapping ports. if this fixes the issue (you can try swapping cables at the same time on each test here too) then perhaps the video card has issues.

if nothing seems to clear up the monitor then it could be a bad monitor however unless you test it out with a dvi to dvi or hdmi to dvi (or other non vga source) its hard to say for certain.

trial and error... thats about all you can do combined with a process of elimination.

Nono , i change the settings of the SB23B350 because When i connect the neW monitor , the SB23 dont appears 1920*1080 in WindoWs , only appears 1680*1050 ( i dont knoW is it because the neW monitor is 16:10 and the SB23 is 16:9 or is for the Atix1950 that is older) , so i use the poWer strip to set 1920*1080 in the SB23 . My new monitor is 1920*1200 , and its run in the default resolution (1920*1080 at 60hz) . The cable is VGA , i use an adapter DVI-VGA to connects the 2 monitors , so u mean that change the cables VGA from one monitor to other?
