Is Age Of Empires 2 HD Worth It???

I have been playing Age Of Empires 2 (CD version) for the last few weeks now and i was wondering if the upgrade to the HD steam version is worth it?

I heard about the steam work shop but also if you guys could tell me how the multiplayer works also? is there ranking/match making/custom games/etc

If you want a higher resolution and very light changes in graphics then yes. All features seem to work fine.
