I just wanted to know what the performance will be on this? Or what it would be comparable to anyway as far as a gpu. Also will this have an effect on the cpu ? This is something I know little about so just trying to learn

I think Crystal Well refers to the Intel HD 5200. While initially only reported to be in mobile CPU, there are 3 desktop Haswell CPUs that will have that iGPU. They are the "R" models and they will be BGA which means they will be soldered into the motherboard. The core i5 and i7 CPUs will only get the Intel HD 4600 and that includes the "K" models.

The HD 4600 is speculated to be about 20% more power than the Intel HD 4000 while the HD 5200 is expected to be around 75% - 100% more powerful than the HD 4000. The HD 4000 is roughly equivalent to an older Radeon HD 5550 graphics card. A 20% performance increase would make the HD 4600 almost equal to a Radeon HD 5570 (probably 90% of it's performance).

Assuming the HD 5200 is 2x more powerful than the HD 4000 that would place it between the Radeon HD 5570 and Radeon HD 5670. Roughly half way in between. A modern day equivalent would mean a bit slower than the Radeon HD 6570 which is a bit slower than the Radeon HD 5670... so about 85% the performance of the Radeon HD 6570... perhaps????

Hey thanks for clearing that up I appreciate that, now what about the ddr4 ram support i hear about being supported by haswell-e? Also the rumor is that it will have 12-16 cores... Thats crazy awesome, should be super powerful...
