Somehow I get the feeling this has been asked before...hmm.

Anyways, this is what I've been working out for the last couple of weeks and I think it's pretty good, but I've heard a lot of different things about it and wanted your guys' thoughts.

Intel i7-3770K $229.99
Asus P8Z77 V Pro $198.99
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz RAM $59.98
XFX Radeon HD 7870 $229.99
Seagate Barracuda 1TB $59.99
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO $25.35
Corsair CX750m $79.99
Corsair Obsidian 550D $129.99
Win 7 Pro (OEM) $130

Asus VH238H $169
Logitech K120 $13

Approximate Purchase Date: Not soon

Budget Range: 1000-1500

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, School

Parts Not Required: mouse

Country: US

Overclocking: yes, heavy

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe crossfire

Monitor Resolution: FHD

The power supply is high because I plan to add another graphics card later running in CrossFire. However, I heard that I should just get an HD 7950 instead of the two 7870's because it would have more power than the two of them combined. Is this true?

Aside from that, how's this looking overall?

Ok, I had originally planned for an i5-3570K but the price different was only $40. I'll put that into the graphics instead. I found an HD 7950 for $279.99, think I'll use that. The 7970 is almost $100 above that, I don't think I need that much power.

7950 is definitely a good choice, you can't go wrong there.
