Nothing but annoying problems, email notifications of a new post that turns out to be three days old , Posts getting lost when you hit submit. Quote system that does not work. I had hoped the leader in tech authority would fix these issues or at the very least acknowledge the problems we usurers are having.

You can always contact Joe the community reporter, or any of the moderators if you have a problem and I'm told they do try their best to help you.

What issues specifically are you having trouble with?

Email alerts 3-4 days old. 404 errors, Link to articles that go to newegg and not the article. When you quote someone it gets lost and you look like a fool responding to nothing. I will keep posting them here as i find them.

Your notifications are coming 3-4 days late? That's unusual, particularly for Gmail. I use Gmail as well and haven't had an issue tracking incoming notifications. Is the notifications you are getting late notifications of replies, or Best Answers selected?

What links are you referring to, specifically? Thinking they might be sponsored links, possibly, but you shouldn't be seeing any of those here on the forum now that we're ad-free.

When do you find quoting gets lost?

I'll add some. I also experience delayed and phantom forum response notification emails. And often no notifications when there have been responses.

I stopped getting email alerts all together after the re-design. Haven't touched my profile settings/preferences.

The comments section is ugly (I concede this to not be a functional issue...okay...).

I can type and post a reply from an article's page in the comment section, but get an error that "there was an error with the request and the request cannot be completed at this time," but if I go to the "forums" page for the article comments, my reply can be posted just fine. This isn't consistent--sometimes it works fine, sometimes I get the error, but it has happened more than once.

There is no quotation option when responding directly in an article comments section--but there is a quotation option from within the forum interface. This is a terrible choice for articles since you can't quote someone and also be able to scroll back up to the article to excerpt something, etc.

However trivial these things might seem to others, it's pretty much enough to discourage me from coming to tom's and participating in the community.

More than one quote? How are doing this? Clicking the quote button? Or typing the quote bbcode?

Tom's uses PST time zone, as far I know. You may want to reset your email notifications by turning them off, and then back on, in your user profile forum settings. Likewise to teh_chem.

The comments for articles/news are under development, and have some issues at current.
