I'm trying to clean install Windows 8 Pro x64 under UEFI and RAID on a ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe motherboard on a blank SSD. I'm installing from an OEM system builders DVD. I plan to create a RAID1 array later after successful installation of Windows.

For the installation I do the following:-

Only the SSD is connected to the board. I'm using these BIOS settings:-

SATA Mode set to RAID
CSM set to Disable
Secure Boot set to Windows UEFI Mode

I press F8 and select the UEFI option on the DVD.

The installation procedure then starts but after the screen where I enter the language, country etc and click in install now, I get a screen which says that SATA drivers cannot be found and that I should insert a cd or usb browse to their location.

I have downloaded the 11.7.0.1013 RSTe drivers from the Itel site for this board onto the boot directory of a USB pen drive. When I browse to this location the installation procedure says no suitable drivers can be found there.

Please advise exactly which SATA drivers the installation procedure wants and where I can find them and how to go about installing them.

Many thanks for help.

File name: f6flpy-x64.zip
Version: 11.7.0.1013
Size: 0.34 MB

Unzip the file to a New Folder named Raid on the USB Drive.
At the beginning of the Windows installation, select load drivers,
Direct the installer to the folder named Raid.

Install the larger IRST file after installing Windows. It is the User interface.
