Hi!

I'm fairly new at this that's why i'm quite confused about this one. I have been on this site called "gooeypc.com" i'm trying to check the parts on my new computer if its compatible. I'm going to use a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-D3 board and a Sapphire HD 7770.

It says on "gooeypc.com" that the GPU is not compatible with the mobo. Upon further checking of the mobo and GPU's specs the mobo that I pick up has a PCI-E 2.0 x16 Slot while the GPU is using a PCI-E 3.0 x16 Slot.

The question is will the GPU work on the mobo? Or do I need to select another one. If I need to select another one what would be best for the GPU that I have. Cheap mobo only pls.

My build will be:

FX-6300
HD7770
GA-990FXA-D3
2x4GB Ares DDR3
600W PSU
