Hey guys.

I just bought myself a fairly cheap audio card, the Asus Xonar DG 5.1.
I got home and found that it wont fit in my cabinet.( a CM Storm Scout 2 Midi Tower).
The motherboard has the correct PCI slot and it alligns perfectly, but the bracket that is holding the sound card in place stops me from pushing the card all the way into the PCI slots.(?)

What can I do about this? is there a way to fix this, or is the card simply not mountable in the cabinet I have?

Please respond quickly, as I really need this to work as soon as possible.

Best regards Even.

Have you checked the seating of the mobo in the case? If the mobo is properly mounted in the case you will either have to do some hardware altering of the case or bracket or both to make the card fit.

If you alter the case or card they probably will be out of warranty.

It's probabaly cheaper to get a card that fits.

Thanks for a quick reply!
I did try what you suggested, and checked if the motherboard was seated properly. I even took it out and put it back in, but with no result.

I decided to gently bend the bracket holding the sound card with a pair of long nosed pliers, and then fastening it firmly with cable ties to my cabinet. As you said this probably ruins my warranty, but I really needed to get it to work right away.

Thanks again!
