So after having problems with a previous mouse, I upgraded to a more expensive anker mouse (http://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Anker-Precision-Programmable-Cartridge/dp/B00AAQRNQ8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1366224574&sr=8-2&keywords=gaming+mouse).
I'm really liking it, except for the fact that every now and again, the cursor just starts moving randomly around the screen. It'll start moving slowly, and after a minute moves incredibly erratically. I've tried reinstalling the driver, using a different port, using the mouse on a different computer, cleaning the optical lense, restarting the computer, disabling other mice, disabling the device and reinstalling, checking for viruses/malware, but nothing has worked so far. It's not a laptop, so a touchpad isn't a problem.
Is there anything else I should check before returning the mouse? I'm getting really tired of replacing mice... this'll be the fourth time...
