GPU Upgrade Advice

Hello, community, I have a question regarding a possible GPU upgrade that I would like some advice on.

I am currently running a 1GB GTX 560ti Superclocked GPU (i5 2400 CPU, 8gb RAM, 120gb SSD, 650 Watt PSU).

I am noticing some poor performance in newer games with the 560ti Superclocked GPU: for example, I cannot run any MSAA in Far Cry 3 without encountering graphical issues.

I am considering an upgrade, and am looking at the following minor and major options:

-2GB GTX 650ti Boost (best damn value here)
-2GB GTX 660 (standard - next best value)
-2GB GTX 680 (I'm drooling over this, but it's crazy expensive).

Would it be worth it to upgrade to the 650ti Boost or the 660 standard from my current 1GB 560ti?

Would the performance upgrade be worth 180$ as afforded by the 2GB 650ti Boost or 660?

Or do you advise waiting until the next round of GPUs from Nvidia and skipping the entire 6 series?

NOTE: I understand that my Mobo is PCI E 2.0, but I hear that the bandwidth doesn't make much of a difference (at least until the "true" next gen roles around).

Thanks a ton for your help.

Go for the 660

ti editions are basically chopped down standards and have trouble with AA increases. You'll basically run into the same problem as you're having now.

660 should relieve those AA issues with a nice performance increase on top.
