How do I switch from Integrated to HD 7850?

I recently ordered and HIS Radeon HD 7850 for my HP Pavillion p7-1225, and I also got a SeaSonic x650 gold X- series PSU to power the graphics card and the rest of my PC. I can run Bioshock, Tomb Raider, and other games fine, I look in GPU-Z and see that the card is heating, and is working, I also adjust the fan speeds and OC it with iTurbo, that came with the card. The problem is, Minecraft is using my integrated graphics card, and i thought that was just because of Java's encoding, but then I went to render a video in Sony Vegas and noticed it took just as long to render as before i got the card, and the card is not being used. So, how do I make my HD 7850 the primary card? I researched and found some instructions on BIOS, but my PC's BIOS is old and weird, there's barely any options in it, and I can't figure it out. BIOS version: AMI 7.16 1/18/2012

Much appreciated, Pajamarine

  1. Many video rendering programs are not GPU accelerated. I don't know why minecraft would not use your GPU. Maybe disable the iGPU?
