cant get stable overclock with new motherboard

i had a GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-USB3 AM3+ and i could get my amd 1100t overclocked to 4.0ghz stable with 1.4 vcore. but it went out so i bought a
asrock 970de3/u3s3. i am trying to overclock with it but i cant even get stable with 3.8 ghz at 1.42 v. core. Can anyone help i really want my 4.0ghz back

system:
motherboard: asrock 970de3/u3s3
CPU: amd 1100t
Ram: 8 gb G.skill sniper 1866mhz
heat-sink: Cooler master 212
GPU:ATi 6870 1gb
PSU:Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-520 520W

well ur overclock abilities is related to the board u use, so assuming that board cant handle that lower overclock as well as the last board, maybe because lower quality of parts, the board u got, the unheatsinked vrms, but id go with a 8+2 power phase board or one with at least the vrm heatsinks. Im not sure if u wanna replace ur new board just because u lost ur 4ghz oc, but id recommend a asus m5a97 R2 or gigabyte 970a ud3 as the gigabyte one has a 8+2 power phase compared to the last two boards unheatsinked 4+1, and the asus one has the 4+2 but has heatsinks and well asus has always made quality motherboards lol
