So i have GTX 580 SC, i has upgrade ichie lol. i'm jumping ship to AMD, due to fact seems they are faster and cheaper then 680.

First question, Sapphire ATI AMD HD7970 OC V2x2?

or different ones? or should have 2 different brands?

2nd Power supply

I have a HX650W PSU corsair, i'm looking at 920w Enermax Revolution 85+ or

OCZ Technology ZX Series 1250W Power Supply this is cheap $204

Review for OCZ

i wanna oc these beast to push it as far as i can go

Any-other brands worth looking at? i would go corsair but lately in Australia they been uping the price for them , HX850 is like $260 here, and Enermax is 920w for $248

Dear Bowzef,
You would be much better off sticking with NVIDIA, because of driver support and the fact that they last longer, and still have support from NVIDIA longer. But anyways, personal preference. About the psu, definitely stick with Corsair. Even the HX850 will be more stable than the 920 from Enermax. Enermax is cheaper but it is not as high quality as corsair. Also, for the 2x 7970 go with asus, gigabyte, or MSI.

i do like nvidia but not happy with 680 over priced value. i rather just not get ripped off. and for most part i'm not micoshutter sensitive , so yeah, FPS caps work good if i see it, plus i get free games, whats not to like? and whats wrong with OCZ? did you not look at reviews? its stable and really good. don't see why i need spend 300 on PSU just for brand, i hate getting ripped off got remember i live in aus we get ripped

also will HX850W be able let me Overclock? my GPU's? and CPU? looking at pushing CPU to 4GHZ+

Yes, the HX850 will let you overclock. With my CX600 from corsair, i got my Intel core I5 3570K To 4.4 ghz. Also when i bought my gtx 660, i got it superclocked, so yes, the HX850 will be fine. OCZ is okay too, but i prefer corsair. Also, did you know Seasonic makes psu's for Corsair so Corsair is a rebranded Seasonic PSU.

It's hard to tell how much everything is actually pulling (power) but I would think 850watts with two overclocked 7970s and an overclocked i7 might be pushing it. I would get atleast above 900 watts. I could be wrong though, have you tried PSU calc and typed in your target overclocks?

CORSAIR uses several builders for their line of Power Supplies "CWT" "Flextronics" "Seasonic" That is not to say that any one is not a good unit just all are not made by one OEM.

I have read multiple places that the only corsair power supplies you really want to buy are the ones that Seasonic builds for them. I believe this applies to the entire HX line, but am not certain of this.

Look at this site. They do high quality reviews on power supplies and use good testing equipment to do it.
They will also tear down the PS and tell you what is really inside and who built it.
There are many supplies that you may never think to use that are really good ones.
Most people would be suprised if they read the reviews. http://www.jonnyguru.com/
