Are the specs for this computer good enough for gaming? (link included)

I'm 16 and I'm an amateur gamer. I would like a new PC, but I have a tight budget, nevertheless I want it to be good quality so I can play games on it, like Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Skyrim, etc.

Would this be enough?

I was also considering the option of perhaps building one, however I have never built a PC and I am scared I might mess up and waste money. I don't know how to buy the parts (I have to know whether they're compatible or not) and I'm not as confident with computers as I'd like to be. Any advice? Is buying the computer cheaper than building it?

That computer comes with an ATI 6450. From a google, that GPU costs about $40. It would run those games on medium settings with about 30-35 frames. Build one
