i am building a budget gaming build i play at 1366x768 I can't get a hd 7850 because it is priced a lot it is priced same as gtx 660 which i can not afford i play at low resolution
i play all kinds of modern games(assasin's creed 3,tomb raider crysis 3,nfs run)
i wont be overclocking
cpu-i5-3570(non k)
gpu-gtx 650 ti
MoBo-gigabyte b75
ram-4gb 1600 mhz(will be upgrading to 8gb in a month or so)
psu-corsair vs 450
questions
1)do u think corsair vs 450 will handle this
2)i can get 8gb of ram but i would have to get a 3450 instead of 3570
3)is 650 ti a good gpu for this resolution
4)will this give me any future proofing at this resolution i don't have a problem turning settings to low

and is there a way to get a similar performance but cheaper

also fx 6300 is not available in india and so is 7790
for any other hardware advice check the website

anybody please give your opinion

Hmm I assume you are playing on an 18 inch screen? If so a 650ti would be overkill
But in a sense it is quite future proof. For the mobo o would actually recommend the asus z77 lg 1155 pro as it has quite some amazing stuff like an extra USB 3.0 port and It is pretty sturdy using one myself. Also if u could actually spare more money get a 750w psu by corsair. Take a gx750 bronze modular it's pretty good. Also I would actually take the K edition as to fully optimize that card u might wanna overclock the CPU till about 4 ghz so as not to bottleneck the card. For the card I say it's good and get the evga one or asus one.

i won't be overclocking so k version and z77 are not a good deal
and usb3.0 doesn't matter to me
and u don't think vs 450 will be enough
April 20, 2013 3:07:33 AM

Since you are very sure about the non overclocking then its fine but I don't think the 450w psu is enough. I still recommend 750 but if you would 600 is also enough but definitely not 450.
April 20, 2013 3:13:22 AM

according to nvidia website
minimum psu requirement is 400 watts so i went with 450
now i am very confused
April 20, 2013 3:20:14 AM

Ok I suggest 750 or 650 because you want a future proof psu who knows you might wanna upgrade to a better gpu or upgrade the CPU or even over clocking the gpu. What I am suggesting is merely about the future and the added power supply will secure it and you won't have to spend on your psi anymore.

ok and u think gtx 650 ti is a overkill for my resolution
which card will u suggest
and one more thing there is a price difference of 20$ in hd 7770 and gtx 650 ti
so i thought getting a gtx 650 ti would be a better option

Well either way you could never go wrong with nVidia man. Good luck!

I89 here are some thoughts to consider (that may help you):

1. If you are going to get the I-5 3570 get the K version because it sounds like you are a serious gamer and you may need the extra power later ( a couple of years from now). The K version doesn't cost that much more.

2. Following point #1 above, the K version of the 3570 when overclocked is WAYYYY more powerful. This CPU really overclocks well. It is a waste to get the 3570 CPU and not get the K version. Gamers need CPU power and two years from now the new Crysis game might demand more power from your CPU in order to run it (even at low resolution). With the K version, you can get more power for free without have to upgrade to a new CPU and motherboard.

3. Don't be afraid of overclocking, many motherboards now allow you to overclock by pushing a single button

4. I don't recommend a 450W PSU - they work but not very well. I would recommend the Corsair CX 600 which is $60.00 after rebate on Newegg right now. It is very cheap and it does very well in professional reviews. Also Corsair backs their products very well.

5. Check Tom's Hardware "Best Gaming GPUs for the Money article under Graphics Cards. That will help you make a decision.

6. Stick with the 3570 but get the K version. It is a very powerful CPU and you will be able to upgrade to a higher resolution and more powerful GPU later without changing CPUs. Tom's Hardware and other professional reviewers rate the 3570K as the best "bang for the buck" CPU. It is an excellent choice. It is far more powerful than the 3450.

7. Following my advice above will give the best "future proofing" build. It may cost you $50 more but you won't have to replace your CPU anytime soon.

8. For motherboards for the 3570K (note the K version), Asrock makes some very good boards that are cheap.

9. The 3570 runs hot and so get a good cooler. With your budget most people on Tom's recommend the Cooler Master 212 or Cooler Master Evo.

I hope that this helps you. These are just suggestions, make up your own mind what will best meet your needs.

Tha what I said flong but he doesn't wanna overclock. Either way I still highly recommend the K version regardless only a marginal amount more. So yeah the 650ti is a great card and because it is still a good mid end card it can max games even at 1080p for that res of yours it's overpowered so no worries and game on.

thank u for ur time
but there are some points i would want to make
1)i am not getting a good case(tight budget) which means no extra coolers so overclocking will not be a good option
2)i have been told that i5-3570 is the best quad core at stock speed
3)minimum psu requirement for 650 ti acc. to nvidia site is 400 watts and a lot of people have told me that corsair vs 450 is a good psu for me
4)corsair vs 450 has a input range of 200-240 volts so it is marketed only in some places like india
5)z77 motherboards are also a bit expensive so if i buy a k version i will have to compromise with the graphic card which i don't want to

I89, I wish you the best.I have had 450W power supplies, because they are cheap they come on a lot of pre-built computers. If you can move up to the Corsair CX 600 or the Corsair TX 650 I think you'll be happier in the long run. If you look for a sale you can get a great buy.

I check prices on Newegg and the 3570K is only $5.00 more than the 3570 (non-K). So it is only a $5.00 difference to get the overclocking capability.

Whatever your choices, I wish you the best and I hope you will be very happy with your new build.
