laptop freezes after a beep

my laptop beeps then freezes......sometimes after a few hours of being on other times just after a few minutes. also sometimes if i move it while in use it will beep and then freeze its becoming very frustrating

Try doing a restore to before this issue appeared.

Just to eliminate the possibility of registry errors and junk files causing problems, I would run CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry both. You may have to run it more than once; run it until it returns no results.

Do you leave the power cord connected and turned on? Laptops are designed not to run on continuous power, battery power, only unless the battery is recharging during use. When moving the laptop, the power cable might be dislodged.

Freezing is usually an issue with the hdd.
