Hi, I'm trying to setup 3 monitors but i a countered a problem.

I have a 23 inch , 22 and a 20 inch monitors. All have a VGA input.

I am using a Radeon HD 6850 with a DVI, a HDMI and 2 mini displayport connections.

The problem is that when i connect my third monitor the other 2 monitors will go blank also with my third.

Any help would be great.

Are you using adapters so the outputs can fit in the monitors?

Precisely. Since they're all VGA, he would have to use adapters, which is where the fault is. Normally if you use adapters, you can have a fault. It's always best to get a true connection. I know its much, but I have 3 Acer DVI monitors with two GTX 680 GC 4GBs, which is $1010+$690=$1700 just by that self, but I want a true connection so I don't have any possible faults, and get a constant and same connection to all my monitors. Otherwise, you would need to buy:

1. A Better GPU
2. Different Monitors
3. Very Expensive Adapters that will actually work.

Other than that, you may just have to live with two monitors. Sorry bro. :(

As for that, when it comes to it, you always want to get a monitor/GPU that has the exact same input/output as the other. Your worst case scenario when buying is to buy adapters. In your case, if you can, I would eventually try to buy monitors that fit your current GPU or one you'll buy in the future. Other than that, it would be best to try and deal with a single or dual monitor setup, and possibly buy a third monitor that has a direct input same as the GPU.

Hope this helps. Cheers
