First Budget Build?

EVGA GTX 660 superclocked
8 gb Ram ddr3

Is this good for gaming?

Looks good to go. I would consider upgrading to the 3570k i5 incase you want to overclock in the future, pair that with a z77 board and it would be great.

Also, personally not a fan of Nvidia cards... used them once and mine died in about a month. Probably bad luck but i will not use them again.

Thanks for the tip what card would you recommend from AMD? I looking to spend $200 on the gpu and I decided to go with the 3570k.

If you can push your budget slightly over... i would recommend you go with the XFX Radeon HD 7870. Its the best bang for your buck without losing alot of power for slightly cheaper. Anything more is just overkill. Iv got the upgraded version of the card (the DD edition) and i can run literally every game i had on Maxed settings. Bioshock infinite looks amazing on max.

If you live near a microcenter they have the i7 3770k's for 229

Great deal. but an i7 is not at all necessary for a gaming computer unless you plan on editing or rendering on the regular.

of course, that is a killer deal! I would take it over the i5 tbh, but im in canada
