Im building a new rig from scratch and would like to get some opinnions on it. Also what is the best brand for a Nvidia GTX 670.

CPU: intel i5-3570k
Motherboard: Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3 or Asus P8Z77-V
RAM: Corsair Vengance 8GB (2x4GB)
HDD: Western Digital 500GB Caviar Blue
PSU: Corsair 650W
GPU: Nvidia GTX 670
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912

I have a budget of about $1200. It will be used mostly for gaming. This is the first computer im building so any advice is welcome.

Normally i'd go for ASUS p8z77 , and get a 1TB HDD for storage....

The best brand for GTX 670 in my opinion is Gigabyte

I would get the 1TB hard drive but I've read that they're not as reliable as the 500 GB drives, and i figure if i need more ill get an external. I like the addition of the SSD. Also the power supply you chose is much cheaper for a little less power so thanks for that. Also I was leaning towards the Asus board as well i just wanted another opinnion.

You know ... whoever told you that 1TB isn't reliable clearly don't know what is he talking about; the most important feature in HDD's performance is RPM count (how fast is operates) and Cache ( The hard drive buffer rate and how quick does it execute read/write operations ).
And the 1Tb size will benefit you as the average size of modern games is 18GB+, with this HDD 7200 rpm/64mb cache it'll be most reliable for every ordinary task.

It's your call but i wanted you to be well-informed about HDD and have all the right facts.
