I have an Acer Espire M5630 with a video card that supports audio. I want to connect to my Panasonic HDTV. What Is my best option for doing so ?

rubbish. the new standards of DVI cables are more than capable of handling an audio signal provided your video card supports sound out via DVI. the older specifications however could not carry audio.

i know this for a fact since i personally use a dvi-to-hdmi cable from my pc to receiver (which then hooks up to the tv via hdmi)

if your video card only sports dvi connections and does support sound out then this is the way to go.

if your video card has an hdmi port then this is the easiest solution.

Hey silverliquicity,
Did some more research since posting. Looks like I need to use the same port my monitor is occupying. VGA. It matches the one marked " PC " on the back of my TV. Will need to supply an audio connection too.
Thanks for the response.
